Services for Stocker and Feeder Clients

Dr. Gernhard at Animal Health Center offers a variety of services for our stocker, backgrounding, and feed yard clients. She can provide you with a handbook she has created that includes instructions for procedures in your barns. This includes:

• Medication administration
• Pulling sick calves from the herd
• Treatment options
• Feeding recommendations
• Cattle handling
• Cattle care
• A drug formulary

In addition to the handbook, we also provide a range of other assistance with your herd's care and treatment:

• Processing and treatment protocols for your unique operation
• Processing services when needed
• Education modules at each visit
• Diagnostics include necropsies, sample collections, and diagnostic interpretations.
• NRC-based Excel ration spreadsheet to check your ration setups
• Water and feed testing and water quality issues

Our sister clinic, Tri-County Veterinary Center in Herington, KS, offers in-house testing for BVD PI by either blood sample or ear notch. Animal Health Center can provide you with kits for testing your cattle. If you are outside our local area, we can mail your supplies, or you can pick up tests through your local Animal Health International representative.
